November 1 – Kerala Piravi Day (കേരളപ്പിറവി ദിനം)
The state of Kerala was officially formed on this day in 1956.
June 19 – Reading Day / Vayanadinum (വായനാദിനം)
Observed in memory of P.N. Panicker, the father of the library movement in Kerala. The following week (June 19–25) is celebrated as Reading Week (വായനാവാരം).
November 7 – Kerala Forest Day (കേരള വനദിനം)
A day dedicated to the conservation of the state's unique biodiversity and forests.
October 13 – Kerala Sports Day (കേരള കായിക ദിനം)

Birth anniversary of the great scholar and social reformer.
August 28 – Ayyankali Jayanti (അയ്യങ്കാളി ജയന്തി)
Birth anniversary of Mahatma Ayyankali, the leader of the marginalized.
